Maxine Gibson

Seriously? Does Cree Summer voice EVERY black female cartoon character? I'm just going to go out on a limb and say - almost.

I'm exaggerating, but only a LITTLE BIT. That's the crazy part.

Which brings me to Maxine Gibson, 17-year-old computer genius from the cartoon Batman Beyond. Maxine uses her technological abilities to try to uncover Batman's secret identity - in the process, she got tangled up with a suspected emissary of the Joker, from who Batman saved her... so now she works with Batman, lending her expertise to his crime-solving arsenal.

i heart Cree Summers. she still looks cute (saw her on the DVD extras for Atlantis... she voices the Atlantean girl)... but that's not the point of this post, is it?

great post. you're not really exaggerating. she voices damn near all the black girls/women and some of the white girls too (elmira on tiny toons...)

however she got into the voice acting game, she has made a career out of it since!

anyways, maxine is a good character. she looks great with a bare midruff, which will help ANY sidekick's longevity! LOL!

Maxine Gibson is a great character. Great personality, cute, and smart enough to be of real help to the young Batman. Oh, and yes Cree Summer is definitely the go-to girl for young, female, Black cartoon characters.Check her resume: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0838588/

i enjoy when i can hear Cree summers do a cartoon voice. Max became sort of Terry's Robin in Batman Beyond, a lot more understanding than Bruce.

Oh man Batman Beyond! I used to love that show! I still do! Wish they were still making episodes :( I had a thing for Maxine too lol And I thought it was pretty cool that Bruce Wayne was mentoring that new Batman kid to be new Batman. :)
